I have been a Bank of America (BoA) customer for five and a half months, I opened the account because I moved to a place where Chase does not have local branches. I was not happy that BoA held each paycheck that I deposited for three to five business days but I was repeatedly assured by representatives in the branch, on the phone, and via online chat this was a temporary new account policy lasting about 90 days.
Over four months or 120 days into my open checking and savings account at BoA I made another deposit for more than previous by about double but less that $10,000. This money is held for ten business days, BoA refused to return the check to me and refused my help in verifying funds with Chase Bank. After repeated phone calls, online inquires, email exchanges, and visits to branches I was told that "no one is going to help me".
Be aware of where you put your money, BoA will very soon no longer have mine.
