While driving West on Mass Pike

As I came up a hill at sunset on Thursday July 10th about 8pm I noticed the light changing in the middle of the wide open road head of me. As the sun was directly in front the road was only visible for about 20 feet ahead.

I slowed down as I thought there might be traffic but saw no brake lights. Suddenly I see a car sitting in the middle of the two lanes on Mass Pike, just past 84, with no flashing lights, brake lights, or lights of any kind. The car was just sitting in park in the middle of the road completely alone.

Because of a power greater than I, my car did stop in time leaving less than a foot to spare between myself and the "driver" in front of me. The other cars in the long line of traffic charging behind me were not so lucky as most ran off the mountain road.

Once the crashing began the "driver" in front of me moved forward.
